Landowners who are interested in improving quail habitat have the opportunity to participate in the Quail Field Day to be held June 12th at Spavinaw Wildlife Management Area headquarters.
Time: 1 to 4 p.m. and admission is free - but please email Lmciver@pheasantsforever.org if you plan to attend so that we know how many folks are planning to attend.
The field days are sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service and Quail Forever.
The field day will include sessions on prescribed fire and pollinator habitat. In addition, a session on forest thinning will be offered at the Spavinaw WMA session.
For driving directions to the Spavinaw WMA, consult the Wildlife Management Areas page on the Wildlife Department's website at wildlifedepartment.com.
